The National Flight Academy Hosting a New Three-Day Cyber Security Program

This three-day program will allow rising 10th-12th grade students to explore the basic concepts of computer programming and object orientation to create java programs. Competing in teams, students will test their skills and create an unbreakable coded phrase and decode the opposing teams message*.

From cyber security principles to computer programming, students will learn the basics of what makes up the field of cyber security today.

  • Learn basic principles of cyber security and how it affects our world.
  • Learn methods of encryption and ciphers and test their skills in small-team based competitions.
  • Explore the basic concepts of computer programming and object orientation to create java programs.
  • Participate in a team competition that tests all they have learned through the cruise as the students try to create an unbreakable coded phrase and decode the opposing teams message.

*Given the nature of this program, students will not utilize the AMBITION’s flight simulators.

Cost for the three-day Codebreakers program is $399.
Dates: Monday, July 17- Wednesday, July 19

Graduation Ceremony: Wednesday, July 19 10:45 a.m. on the Mess Deck
Registration deadline is Friday, June 16, 2017.
