ADVENTURES

Adventures are a unique, one day opportunity which introduces students in grades 4-12 to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills. Topics include drones, hurricanes and tsunamis. During an Adventure, students enjoy lunch on the mess deck and fly the X-12B Triad, the National Flight Academy’s experimental aircraft. There is a requirement of 36 participants per weekend session; however, for small groups, multiple parties may make up the 36. Participants must be currently in grades 4-12. Mini-mission Adventures designed to expose students to various STEM topics in a hands-on setting are available for students in grades 4 and up. For grades 5-12, all missions/lessons are mapped to Florida and National educational standards and delivered in a new and exciting context created to inspire students to achieve in STEM. Upon arrival youth will be paired up with “Flight Partners” and then formed into Squadrons of similar age bracket.

Adventures are the perfect outing for youth organizations. We have hosted Scout Troops, Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters just to name a few.

The National Flight Academy can accommodate overnight Adventures where students and chaperones stay onboard AMBITION. For more information and pricing please contact the NFA Team at 850-458-7836.
